Keeping Warm On A Shooting Trip
It doesn't matter how many times you have been shooting before you will always find you forget something is you don't have a checklist prepared. This will ensure that you don't end up out there without the right gear. The very first thing you want to pay attention to is the backpack that will be carrying all your stuff. Having a good quality backpack is a must as it will be home to all of your gear, find high quality rucksacks at Ray Mears rucksack, so that you can be sure you won't have any problems transporting your gear around.
The next thing we want to look at is your clothing, which needs to be adequate for the conditions. Make sure that you come prepared for a number of different scenarios as unlike standard trips hunting expeditions don't always follow a designated path. Have a look at what shooting clothing is around so that you can be sure you are covered for different scenarios. Head on over and have a look at all the waterproof jackets which will soon become you favourite item of clothing.
If you do indeed plan on spending more than a day outside shooting you will want to look at getting some key pieces of camping equipment. Camping out over night can be made easy with the right equipment. If you ask any experienced campers you will find out that the two most important items to take with you are a well made tent and sleeping bag. Having a small stove or even a lighter will make your stay outside all the more comfortable.
For a shooting trip there are of course some select additional items that will be required. These include items such as ear muffs and heavy duty gloves. Naturally you can figure out why ear muffs would be useful when on a hunting trip. A good pair of gloves however is essential if you are handling your game afterwards.

Seitz: The Failures, Successes, Possibilities, and Danger Signs of Hell on Wheels (New York Magazine)
Like a lot of people, I watched the first few episodes of AMC's _Hell on
Wheels__, _Joe and Tony Gayton's drama about the building of the
transcontinental railroad,_ _and then checked out. It wasn't awful, but a lot
of it was weak, and even in its better moments it seemed not to have found its
tone yet. The pilot and the next couple of episodes seemed stranded between
grubby naturalism and slick, empty mythmaking. In one scene, the show would
feel like a wannabe _McCabe and Mrs. Miller_ or _Deadwood_, muddy and lyrical
and depressive. In another it would echo Sergio Leone or early Clint Eastwood
(_High Plains Drifter_ and_ The Outlaw Josey Wales_ especially). Yet another
scene would feel anachronistic, glossy, and weightless. When I finally did
catch up after the New Year, what I saw made me wish I'd been watching the
show in real time. _Hell on Wheels_ didn't turn into a great drama, but it
settled into a distinctive groove, growing more relaxed and confident by the
week, dealing with painful historical subjects and unique personal crises that
most TV, even Western-themed TV, often ignores, and indulging in some of ...
