Photography Lighting Creates the Mood of a Scene
Great photographers know about lighting. These artists use available or artificial lighting to create memorable photographs. The lighting in a photograph can establish a mood and it can make a photograph more dramatic. The lighting on a theme can make them seem angelic, or it can make them appear evil. Natural lighting for photography is varied at all hours of the day and at varied times of the year. The natural photography lighting is diverse in the winter and in the summer. The natural photography lighting is diverse on a rainy day and when the sun is shining vibrantly.
The photography lighting used in most great photography is greatest in the early morning hours or merely before the sun goes down. Lighting at sunrise presents shadows that make for more interesting photos. The same is true about photography lighting at twilight. The shadows at twilight are magnificent, and these make the photographs more interesting in most cases than those taken in the center of the day. The sun shining in the center of the day is very stark and bright. This might be used by a photographer to capture certain events, but this photography lighting will create a much varied photo than the same theme taken at twilight or at dawn.
Photography Lighting Makes for Artistry
Photography lighting shows the artistic instincts of a photographer. The photographs of the best artists show that they capture a moment in time to provide a dramatic picture that will capture the imagination the viewers. A poor person photographed in a bright light might be more pitiful to those that view the photo. This photography lighting will make a difference in the emotions of the folks as they view this photograph.
The best photographers study photography lighting. If they work in a studio to produce portraits, they know how to arrange the lighting instruments for the desired effects. These photographers know how the light will bounce off the walls and the features of their themes. Some of the great photographers will spend hours to practice with photography lighting to obtain a perfect portrait. Most of the great photographers will not be satisfied with fewer than perfect photography lighting. Those people who view the images taken by talented photographers may not know how much time and energy they put into their craft, but they will appreciate the photographs that they present.
Beginner studio lighting question, multi light?
I have a strobist flash light kit using a vivitar 285 flash. i also have a canon 430 flash. i would like to begin a multi light set up. what should my next light be keeping in mind i do not want a full size strobe but a off shoe flash .
I don't know if it's the "best" option, but, with you already using the Canon 430, a Canon 580EXII will control the 430 as a slave flash. Just a thought.

Canon PowerShot G1 X. We've prepared a 30 image gallery, shot in a range of
lighting conditions and using a variety of focal lengths, ISO settings and
apertures, in addition to the studio examples we've already posted. The G1 X
may look like an existing G-series compact but fits a near DSLR-sized sensor
into its slightly brick-like body. So what does this mean for image quality
