a) flash at the same time you take a photo
or b) stay turned on during the whole photoshoot?
That's a continuous lighting system - the lights are on all the time. Seems to be not particularly high powered either.
Wouldn't be my setup of choice - I prefer flash - that way you can choose how you mix flash & ambient - with continuous lights...it's all ambient!
