I have a black muslin and a white muslin backdrop?
both are very creased/wrinkled (and are 3 metres x 6 metres so way too big to try and iron so I will use them wrinkled). What would be the best colour to use for dance studio costume shots? What colour would be best to show less of the wrinkles?
You can use one of those hand held steamers to take out the wrinkles while the muslin is hanging. The black will show less wrinkles .... IF... you have your subject as far away from the backdrop as possible and also use a wide aperture such as f3.5 to throw the backdrop out of focus. Also use a long focal length lens, (or the telephoto portion of your zoom), to further lessen the depth of field. The background will then just be solid black.
